Forget the tolls and traffic…RUN the Lincoln Tunnel! This unique 5K takes runners through the tunnel and back, all to benefit Special Olympics New Jersey.
The Lincoln Tunnel Challenge is one of the most unique races in the country that not only is underwater but also spans two states. Participants will run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) certified USATF course. The toll booths in Weehawken, NJ mark both the start and finish of the race. There is a cone turnaround once participants reach the NYC side of the tunnel.
All proceeds benefit Special Olympics New Jersey and the 26,000 athletes they serve.
The Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside presented by New Jersey Law Enforcement is part of the year-round fundraising of Law Enforcement Torch Run® events. It is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics New Jersey athletes by jumping into the frigid Atlantic waters during February. All plungers must raise the minimum to participate depending on when they registered for the Plunge. If plunging as a team, all team members are still required to raise the minimum. Charitable contributions are non-refundable, and the minimum Plunge requirement is considered a charitable contribution, and therefore non-refundable.
During the summer, our organization is responsible for the safe management of over 500 swimming pool facilities. For one day, we will put our safety in the hands of others, as we brave the frigid waters to benefit the Special Olympics Maryland. This started as a small idea in a company meeting and is growing to show just how much impact American Pool can have on our community! Please support our team and donate to a great cause! If we raise $20K, our CEO Scott Patterson will be taking the plunge with us!
By donating to the 2020 Polar Bear Plunge you will be helping to provide year-round sports and leadership programs for 8,033 athletes of Special Olympics Maryland. 100% of your donation will go to support the sports and leadership programs offered throughout the state.
All of our programs are FREE to our athletes and families thanks to generous community supporters who believe in the Special Olympics mission: to give our athletes opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
