Some Assembly Required: Back-to-School Backpack Drive Benefiting the Boys & Girls Club – Peel Chapter

Special thanks to all our volunteers from the North Region Office of FirstService Residential,  Pillar To Post and FirstService Corporation for coming together on August 22 to prepare back-to-school backpack kits in support of the Boys & Girls Club! I had the pleasure of dropping off 100 backpack kits to the Peel Chapter, and they were VERY grateful for our donation, especially because they are for the teen population that sometimes get forgotten!

I assured them each backpack had been thoroughly quality controlled for consistency, with each containing essential school supplies such as pens, pencils, highlighters and notebooks. They also appreciated the tagging system to distinguish backpacks for boys and girls. Shout out to Michael Smith and Angela Bai for that idea! It felt great to do this together, in person, make some new friends and give to those in need, which is what #firstserveothers is all about!
