Giving back is at the core of our Social Purpose and takes many forms, tangible and intangible. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the ways we gave back and supported our communities changed to align with social distancing requirements and the evolving needs of our communities. Here are just some of the ways we’ve continued to give back and make a difference in our communities.
Paul Davis showed appreciation to first responders by providing complimentary cleaning services during the pandemic. Paul Davis’ expert team of trained technicians clean local fire and police stations utilizing U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved disinfectants and electrostatic foggers. They provide peace of mind to first responders by sanitizing all common touch points and surfaces of regulation apparatus, gear, and emergency vehicles including fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, and other first responder vehicles. These efforts align well with the company’s social purpose to provide extraordinary care while serving people in their time of need.
Paul Davis also utilized its vans deliver food donations to local food banks.
Planned Companies responded to the need for life-saving PPE and donated more than 4,000 pieces of PPE to acute care facilities and veterans homes in New Jersey.
For high-rise condo residents, the stay at home orders made leaving one’s living space impossible, which exacerbated feelings of isolation and uncertainty for residents. FirstService Residential’s South Region property managers took a creative approach to help keep residents feel connected to their vertical community. They created property-specific videos starring building staff – many of whom are like family to residents – delivering the essential services to keep properties running smoothly and facilities clean and sanitized.
The company’s South region also created a Lifestyle@Home video series helping residents make the most of their time at home. The series includes expert advice on everything from home organization to women’s fashion tips.
FirstService Residential brought together experts including a crisis communications pro to educate clients on how to effectively communicate during a crisis.
In addition, several of our companies partnered to help community association board members understand how to safely reopen common areas and amenities. Recently, FirstService Residential brought together subject matter experts from LIVunLtd., American Pool Florida and Heartline Fitness and engaged trusted partners from the legal and restaurant industries to share their perspectives on the topic.
