My colleague, Bailey MacDonald, and I were very fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the Virginia National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Golf Tournament sponsored by Paul Davis of Northern Virginia. It was a truly memorable event, and a wonderful tribute to fallen fire heroes.
Many local fire professionals were in attendance, and they received special recognition for their years of service to their communities. The event kicked off with a special, and moving, bagpipe performance. The tournament attracted many Paul Davis team members including Jodi Lewis, PDO Regional Director; Chris Thomas, Paul Davis USA Technical Trainer; Brock Merwin, GM, Paul Davis of Suburban Maryland & DC and Kali Freeland, Director of Talent & Strategic Change.
I’d like to give a special shout out to Paul Davis of Northern Virginia’s Kevin and Robin Sullivan and Jerry Deem and express my gratitude to them for all their hard work in putting together this special event. The NFFF is an important organization, whose mission is to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes and provide resources to help their families rebuild their lives after devastating losses. The organization also works within the fire service community to help reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.
